Job Summary:

The Project Developer plays a critical role in identifying and qualifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting the transition of projects from initial concept through proposal and handoff. This role combines business development, technical understanding, and project planning to help drive Precision Environments’ growth across cleanroom and controlled environment markets.

Ideal candidates are proactive, solution-oriented professionals with experience in technical B2B sales, preconstruction, or project development. This is a forward-facing role, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand and translate complex client needs into actionable project strategies. Project Developers represent Precision Environments externally and collaborate closely with internal teams to move opportunities from lead to launch.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the front end of the project development cycle, from lead qualification through proposal delivery.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries, qualify leads, and conduct discovery calls to assess project scope, timing, and fit.
  • Actively prospect new opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, and industry events.
  • Meet with clients (virtually and in-person) to understand project requirements and growth plans.
  • Develop project narratives, budgets, and proposals in collaboration with estimating, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Coordinate internal resources to align on strategy, timelines, and deliverables for each opportunity.
  • Maintain accurate records and pipeline tracking within the company CRM system.
  • Travel for site walks, client meetings, and trade shows as needed.
  • Monitor industry trends and upcoming projects in target sectors (e.g., life sciences, aerospace, semiconductor, EV battery manufacturing).
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and trusted representative of Precision Environments to both prospects and partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, project development, preconstruction, or a related technical role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead discovery conversations and present proposals.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in parallel.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Technically curious with a desire to understand cleanroom design, construction, and application.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Experience using CRM tools and sales tracking platforms.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits, trade shows, and project coordination.

Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Experience with cleanrooms, laboratories, or controlled environments.
  • A background in technical sales, engineering, construction, or architectural services.
  • Knowledge of industries that rely on critical environments (e.g., biotech, medical device, semiconductor, aerospace).
  • An understanding of preconstruction workflows and project development best practices.
