2024 Big Guy’s Helpers Golf Scramble
For years, Doug Cooper, Precision Environments’ founder and retired President, and a group of friends had been informally “adopting” local families and providing presents at Christmas time. However, they realized the need was great throughout the year, not just at Christmas. In 2023, they founded the Big Guy’s Helpers, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds for items needed by local children throughout the year, including sports-related equipment and fees, school supplies, birthday and Christmas presents, and other ancillary items that enable children the opportunity to excel in life.

On June 14, 2024, the organization held its first annual Golf Scramble at the Cincinnati Recreation Commission’s California Golf Course. Precision Environments donated a sponsorship and foursome for the event. Tim VonderHaar, current Precision Environments’ President, played in the tournament and was moved by the extraordinary work the group does, “We had a great time supporting the Big Guy’s Helpers at their inaugural golf outing. The work being done by Doug and the team to assist underprivileged youth in the greater Cincinnati area is remarkable, and we look forward to the opportunity to partner with them again.”
